Danny died/fade away and Sam was there. Danny was fighting a ghost. He woke up at CW's and he has been staying there for quite a while now. Danny decided to go to the human realm to visit his loved ones and CW allowed him to. He first visited Sam and saw the she was crying because of the grief.

Danny cheated on Sam and he wanted to apologize to her?
