How Do You Draw?

I was just wondering since I was watching some how to draw tutorials just cuz I felt like it I guess :shrug: And I noticed that a lot of people use the circle and line structure to make out the body of a person (or pony lol). Now, I don't do this because I think it's kinda a waste of time and that I think it's better to not draw like that, but that's my opinion ^^;

So, I usually draw light feathered-like lines to make out what the objects/person/etc are going to look like. I'll draw the features roughly and then get back to it later. I then just start drawing it until I think it looks good or I can't make it look any better. I don't use shapes or scales for my work, to be honest I find it harder with shapes and and scales. It's most probably because I never use them I guess :shrug:

I was wondering how you guys usually start out your drawings now that I've told you how I do my drawings (If you want proof, there's a couple of how to draw videos on my YouTube channel, and I'll upload another drawing video sometime soon ;)), so tell me how you do yours. Do you start out with shapes like most people, try to get it perfect first try like me, use a scale to help, or a rough outline like I sometimes do?

I draw directly without guidelines or rough sketchés.
However, I don't think it's a good way to draw and I will try to draw guidelines first in the future.
