I need your help guys, I'm trying to look online for a part time job at a supermarket or a department store, but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I asked my parents (well, mainly my Dad) for help, but still no luck. I wanna start working soon so I can earn my own money for a change. And the teacher who coordinates the Year 12's at my school highly recommends that we (all the year 12's) should be looking for (or already have) part time jobs now as it will be very hard once Year 12 is finished and we'd be competing with many others who waited.

So, I've worked out the days in which I'll have enough time to still do homework, and any deviantART stuff as well as time to do part time work. All I have to do now is find the part time job I'm looking for, and that is either stacking shelves/helping customers or something like that. I don't want to be a cashier, I'm not really good when it comes to people waiting on me for things (like on here with commissions), so it would have to be maybe organizing the stuff out the back (before it gets put on the shelf), or putting it on the shelf, or walking around seeing if customers need help to locate an item or something.

I need your help, my friends (my three closest friends) don't have part time jobs and neither did my parents so I can't ask them for help (mainly my friends I can't ask for help). I will ask around elsewhere for help, but I just need your help. And I understand that most of you aren't from Australia. But if you could help somehow with my situation...that would be great :)

So, any ideas on how I should look for this kind of work? Who should I ask to apply? The manager? Or maybe a fast food chain? Just please help me.

I know I don't have a part-time job Deanna but I suggest that you create your resume and walk around shopping centers and see if they have vacancies. Or just go give your resume to Coles, Woolworths, Foodland etc, because then they can look through it if they need more staff or something.
That's what I'm going to do near the end of the year since it's to busy for me to have a job this year since I'm doing Research all this year.
Although in my case I'm more going to put my resume into retail stores rather than supermarkets, but I might to have more of a chance to get a job.

Hope this helped you. :D
